Aligning Program Activities with Intended Program Outcomes

Introduction:

Understanding whether programs are effective requires clearly expressing the program design or theory of change. In other words, can you describe your program activities, what you hope your program accomplishes for survivor participants, and why you think those activities will lead to changes for participants? Do the changes align with the participants’ goals?
Can you describe the intended outcomes for your program?
Would it be helpful to map out the activities and services you provide to survivors and how they connect to intended program outcomes?

How do you know your program activities lead to the desired program outcomes?
